This policy explains how Real View TV Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information in connection with Waiting Room Screens, our live-view display service for business screens. For privacy matters you can reach us at privacy@real-view.tv.

Who we are

Waiting Room Screens is a service provided by Real View TV Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16284963). For the personal data we handle about our customers and enquirers, Real View is the data controller.

Information we collect

• Sign-up and enquiry details — when you sign up or contact us we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give one, the type of venue, the number of screens you want and anything you write in the message box.
• Account and billing details — if you become a customer, the contact and billing information needed to set up and run your account.
• Content you upload — the images, videos and audio you add as adverts. If any of that content contains images of identifiable people, you are responsible for having the right to use it.
• Service and usage data — which of your screens are online, what has played on them and for how long, and how you use the control panel, including device, browser and log data.
• Communications — messages you send us, including through live chat if it is enabled on this site.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your sign-up or enquiry and arrange your account;
• set up, provide, support and bill for the service;
• show you reporting on your own screens and adverts;
• operate and secure the platform, and monitor and improve how it works;
• communicate with you about your account and service; and
• comply with our legal obligations.

Depending on the purpose, we rely on one or more lawful bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, your consent (for example for optional communications), and compliance with legal obligations.

People in your venue

Viewers of your screens are not identified, tracked or counted individually. The reporting in your panel covers what your screens played and for how long — it says nothing about who was in the room.

Cookies, analytics and live chat

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to make it work and understand how it is used. If live chat is enabled, it is provided by a third-party tool which may set its own cookies to run the chat. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work properly without them.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Service providers who help us operate the service — for example cloud hosting and content-delivery providers (including Cloudflare), live chat, email and payment providers — who act on our instructions;
• Authorities or advisers where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and
• A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision) to protect your information.

How long we keep it

• Sign-up and enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards.
• Content you upload is kept while your account is open, so your screens can play it, and is removed when you delete it or when your account closes.
• Account and billing records are kept for as long as you are a customer and for any period we are required to keep them by law.

Your rights

Subject to certain conditions, you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email privacy@real-view.tv. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.

Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Waiting Room Screens is a business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
